SPAG for GCSE

With extra marks available in subjects like English, History, Geography and RE for Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar, it’s worth taking some time to get to grips with it all.

Does your child struggle to remember there they’re their grammar?

Grab our free printable booklet!

This 8 page booklet covers commonly misspelt words, common grammar issues, and that all-important….

‘To apostrophe or not to apostrophe? That is the question!”

Is all this worrying about mocks / revision / lack of motivation raising your stress levels?

At the Parent Guide to GCSE, we’ve got you covered. Join our programme to get a weekly email with advice, tips and information, all in bite-sized chunks, so you don’t get information overload.

Schools, in my experience, are better at advising students than they are at advising parents, and let’s face it, teenagers aren’t often the best communicators.

You just want to know what you’re supposed to do each week to support them without them feeling like they’re being nagged, right? That’s what our emails tell you.

Use our emails as an excuse for giving them good advice. Teenagers HATE listening to their parents ( ?), but when the advice is coming from experts (that’s us), they’re more likely to listen and take it on board.

I am really enjoying reading the weekly emails and listening to the podcasts. I find they give me the confidence to have surprisingly open conversations with my year 11 son without coming across as a nagging mum. We are finding a way forward that is suiting him and building up routines and trust.

The hardest part of being a parent is watching a child go through something really tough and not being able to fix it for them.
