2021 Membership – Priority Access

Knowledge beats nagging

The exam years can be daunting for both parent and child. As a parent you want to support your child, and are constantly treading a fine line between nagging and ‘I wish they’d just tell me things!’ 😩

Our membership is here to give YOU the support to help your child achieve their best.

As teachers ourselves we realised how lucky we were when our sons went through the exam process. We knew when mocks were, how to teach them to revise, how to access high-quality revision resources, and what we could do to motivate them… the list goes on and on.

Since 2019 our membership has helped hundreds of families work together to give their child the best possible chance of GCSE & Post-16 success. From those struggling to pass, to those aiming for top grades, our membership looks at the key areas EVERY child and parent needs – from academic checklists to ways to manage stress – we cover it all.

We’ve helped 1000s of parents since we started.
We’d love to help you too.

The wonderfully lovely Sunetra Sarker joined us as a member after we had a chat about my book.

It’s been two years now, and her son has just received his GCSE results (along with her stepdaughter).

I checked in on results day to see how he got on, and here’s what she sent:

She actually looks forward to the weekly emails we receive so she can put the advice into play rather than thinking I’m nagging her to simply revise… she now knows where to start!

– Heidi from Peterborough

I’ve used all of ‘The One Thing This Week’ tips with my son. They have really helped me to engage with him and understand how he is feeling and how I can help. The whole process has strengthened my relationship with him as he knows what I am saying comes from actual research and he knows that I am here to help and support him.

– Katie from Norwich

Overall, the programme so far has been as we hoped – telling us stuff we didn’t even know we needed to know, and helping our responsible, bright Y11 feel on top of things.

– Jen from Sheffield

What if there was a blueprint?

If someone could map out for you exactly what to expect, what they need to do, and when they need to do it, that would help you feel confident that they’re ready for whatever’s next, right?

Wouldn’t it be great if…

✔︎ You could spend less than 10 minutes a week ‘keeping on top’ of all this?

✔︎ You could have the chance to ask questions and get answers from teachers all through the year, not just at parents’ evening?

✔︎ You could work with your child to help them develop the independent learning skills (and a few life skills) that they’ll need when they leave school?

✔︎ You could do all this without having to nag, because your child knows you’re on the same team here!

Well hi there! I’m Emily Hughes, and I’m so glad you’re here.

After 15 years as a teacher, I thought I’d learned everything I needed to know about GCSEs and A-levels. Then my own kids started theirs, and boy was I wrong!

Turns out that as a parent, you have far more power than you realise in terms of supporting your child. It also turns out that the tricky part is getting them to listen to you in the first place…

There is no-one else in the world that can have the same impact on your child as you can.

When you know how to help them make the best start, or organise themselves, or you know which revision methods work best for them, it makes a HUGE difference.

We’ve found a way for you to bypass the usual eye-rolling, grunting teenage responses using our tried and tested ‘B-2 Stealth System’, so we can help you even if you usually get shot down by your child long before any advice can ‘take’. 😉

It makes my day when I hear about the difference this membership is making to people’s lives – I’m looking forward to hearing your success stories!

Denise knows (and Amy knows too!)

Denise:

“My daughter wasn’t that keen for me to get more involved with her revision, but I felt ‘forearmed is forewarned’ and my gut told me that being able to gently guide her from a distance would be the best way forward and would give her the best opportunity to excel.
The weekly emails were extremely supportive, succinct and full of useful links to additional suggested resources, with additional ideas and revision suggestions. Focussing on a different subject each week and with a ‘one thing this week…’ suggestion, I felt the programme brought me up-to-date (things have changed A LOT since the late 1980’s, it turns out!).

Amy’s version?

“When Mum first told me about the programme she had signed up to, I was sceptical at first, as I didn’t want Mum to interfere with my work.  I had already started thinking about my revision and didn’t think I needed any extra help or guidance.
What I have found is that the weekly emails really helped me. The extra links to free resources I didn’t know were available were more than what I had already been told about at school and saved a huge amount of time. The ideas for revision, planning and what to focus on for that week were very useful and looking back, I feel I had the best chance to succeed.

Thank you.”
